DIY:Cleaning fog lights of my santro!

Salam to all!

on wednesdays day i decided to open up my santro's foglights(which arent actually "FOG" lights anymore, cause ive installed flicker in them!:D). the fod lights were full of mud and water as you can see in the pictures in my perivous post!

i hope you guys like it...i did it ALL on my own(even took the pictures myself!) and i didnt even know how to do it just kept opening stuff and went on(you'll get what i mean:P)

LETS get the party STARTED!!!!!!!!

first of all i took out the lights....tried removeing the bumber...:|but dunno why i got stuck on the idea of removeing the headlights and then getting to the foglights:|

LIGHTS OUT!!!!!!!!!

oh ho wo wali lights nai!headlight!

somehow this grip was giving me a tough time getting off...so i took out the bulb out so that i could easily deal with it

found the problem.....the grip got heated and had melted alittle.....and reason is that i few weeks ago my light switch was messing up and it would turn on both(high and low) filaments of the right side!

if you look closly you can see the fog light assembly down below

opening the sheld form below so i could reach the lower screws of the fog light assembly

i poured water into it....added some washing liquid....jiggled it alot....and drained it.....all this in my kitchen sink and if my mum sees this........tu phir....... dont ask....just dont forget to come to my funneral:P

since i didnt like the reasult of the water washing......i decided to try opening the front clear cover.....

DANG!!! yet another DIY injury!!

ok........back to idea one:WASH IT!
but this time ill be using a small bottle brush too!

though id remove the internal reflector, but it's screw was come covered with rust! and who do you call when you see rust!?!?

ha ha washed it but didnt like the results again:S:| back to square two:trying to open it up!

ahh now this is called cleaning a glass!!!

hmmm now i have to remove this old glue/sealent so i can reseal it again!

wait got thirsty!

ppl on the serious note always keep water handy, and it wont kill you if you have a few extra liters of water....oh and dont go for softdrinks cause they cause dihydration!!!

polished the front clear plastic....

getting ready for the SEALING!!!!!!!

note closely, you see the clear silicone on the edges

AND IT IS SEALED!!

somehow i couldnt manage to screw the lower screws with a normal screw driver:S so bought out my filexable rachet screw driver(i really this,actually i love all of the tool from my dads tools kit!)

and it fixed back,looking all clean and saaf suthara:P

and i made sure atleast three times that all the grips are connected, cause its a pain when you realise after closing everything and washing your hand that your head light, parking light or turn signal isnt working:|

now comes the left hand side ki fog light's turn, yar its a mess!!!

removed the fog light in the same way, opened it up right away with out trying to rinse it with water:P washed it proparly, sealed it and placed it back!wasay the whole deal was harder for the left side specially the fitting cause there wasnt much space in the hobby........

anyways all is well that ends well!!!!!!

the left head light is a bit dirty from inner side or it seems to be.

so now also clean it if it is really dirty.
