DIY:Cleaning fog lights of my santro!

Nice work done brother. I have to do same on my car fog lights too but how to chrome theinside surfaceof the light?
any specific material for it?\

@punk, yar dunno how to chrome it, thanks heavens meri lights ka chrome theek tha......but i guess you can get them rechromed from the ppl who polish head lighhts!

Great one man. I've actually been looking for something like this to clean up my Classic's headlights which also has sealant issues. I asked a guy at plaza and he says there's no guarantee if the lights break while prying them open so I just wanted to know if this is safe to do. And what other tools will I need?

thanks, and the guy was very right to say that there's a chance that they might break while trying to open them...cause all i use was a flat screw driver, lots of effort and prayed for luck:D

but i guess there would be a professional way to open sealed plastic stuff...

@waqar thanks yar...looking at my clean lights everyday in the morning make my smile for hours:P

If the lens is glass and the reflector is metal, try some acetone (or nail polish remover) to try and coax the sealant out. I'm not sure that this'll work, so proceed with caution and at your own risk. Alternatively, you could try a surgery scalpel and try to cut the sealant off (It's a laborious process, but safer for the headlight. Not so sure for your fingers though...^o))

I'm afraid the lens is plastic and the beam/reflector exterior looks like its plastic but yeah there's a 100% chance it is plastic. I do have a small scalpel like knife somewhere at home. But this sounds like a very delicate process and would really require a lot of patience and time... so I finally figured out what I'm doing this weekend, eh

I'll let you all know how it went and post any pics if I can.
