Reminds me of early 2009s when I got mine for a TZ Prado from Speed Auto Sports Karachi. It was a Dual Sub woofer Enclosure so later on cut it to single one to fit it in my 7th gen Civic.

then I foiled the edges of the board

then I put the cut board in the fiber glass casing and
It looked fine

then I put the board in the card and came to know that still needs to be cut

I brought it again to my work station and cut and foiled it

I again put it in the car and came to know that there are still some fine tuning needs to be done

I put the markers for more cutting/foiling and will resume my work again tomorrow inshallah

By the way which sub will u use? Have you checked the depth whether it will fit?

Yes. I have checked the depth. And any sub woofer will do my job as my requirement is not a high end. It's more for a project than for a need.
Waise I am thinking about kenwood 310 woofer that is relatively slim as compared to pioneer d4

Cut out dimensions are given in the instructions/installation manual provided with subwoofer.

Since i am not that good in these technical stuff, so I used to keep a detachable (grip) shallow subwoofer in the trunk. But this idea is awesome and best of luck for the DIY. What was the song name by the way?

Interestingly I came to know that 12" sub woofer with the ring is around 13" and the cut diameter is about 11.1" to 11.25"
