the FG should be atleast .5" thick if you want to get any decent sound from it. The laminated piece of wood that i think you are planning to use will not be good as FG and resin will have a hard time bonding to it. use unlaminated chipboard or mdf if possible. Also you removed the FG from the mold after only a few layers of FG mat was applied. You should atleast have 4 layers applied and let it harden for around a day before removing it from the mold as it can get wrapped during removal if layers are thin. I suggest you test fit it to see if it still fits properly or not.
instead of having such a big wooden baffle, just get a ring cut of appropriate size and use that to mount the sub. it will give a much better look and will be easier to work with. if you need any help in making, let me know and i can help you with it.
regardless of all the suggestions above, a very nice effort. Its something that i have been trying to get my lazy dash to do for a long time now but havent been able to
