DIY Khyber Bumper Polish

AOA,

I read about black bumper polish from one of threads on pakwheels and tried to test it on my ride.

last sunday I polished my car's bumper with black shoe polish and the results were good. see the diffrence in attached pictures

shoe polish - yuck - it would stain your clothes if you accidently rub on it, the correct way is shoe colour - its usually packaged by kiwi but very pricey - it works super.

this is a good diy but if you want something that not only gives a good luck but also stops the plastic from uv rays then try the plastic polish by armourall

let the dirt accumulate on your bumper and then have fun getting it off your bumper.

if anyone wants to get this effect for the long run then follow my advice.
1. clean it wid glint or any gud glass cleaner.
2. after cleaning it thoroughly apply any good polish like armour all or formula1
3. after applying polish let the greasy texture remain for an hour, then clean it thouroghly wid a wet cloth.(coz all the oils have been absorbed by plastic by now and the grease on the surface is surplus, it isnt required)

@Xulfiqar : if you rub it well with brush after like a shoe shiner bachas that are romming around, they will not stain your cloths

@margallar: dont know about that, if some has experience plz share pics and plz also tell how much time it will remain.

it will be good for at least a month. then it will start losing it's blackness. then you will have to repeat the process. it basically depends upon the weather conditions. ill show u pics soon

I use the kiwi leather dye.. it comes in the same liquid polish type bottle.

You better off buy some dashboard cleaner product etc that can do this properly as they are for plastics too.

I use Turtle Wax F21 on my spoiler (its OEM ... rubber) ... works real good. A cheaper alternative is that Snap polish. Small bottle with a white liquid. Works rather good.

Yes but any type of polish shudnt be used too much. my driver polished the bumpers so much that they started shining like my shoe
