I have tested the car in detail while driving from home to my office. I have noted the followings:

• Engine noise has been reduced to a major extent, when the car is on idle i could not judge its sound as its sound is really less
• Doors are now silent, I have tested the car in metal speed breakers and result was really good.
• My car is giving gear box high noise "Goonj" while driving the car from 60-80 Kms/hr that noise is eliminated by over 80%
• Performance of sound system is improved, especially the bass.
• Engine heat is really reduced, my legs are not feeling heat from firewall side.
• floor is giving heavy/solid sound on Katchi roads, like new cars.

I would say again "Mehnat Wasool", it was really a hard job but has paid well.

Brother you did a good job, I am also done with washing the floor and carpet of my Margalla 96? its a lengthy process that's why wouldn't repeat that but I am too worried with itchy noise coming from the doors and trunk, got the idea for doors but I am anxious to see treatment of trunk and hood too. Total cost is about 2.5K for doors and floors. I didnt did proofing of trunk and bonnet yet as the car is too quiet now and I dont feel there is any further requirement of deadening.

Yes i have applied jumbulon for my car cultus sound deadening and its fantastic this jumbolon sheet is available on any molty foam shop

The problem with jumbolon is that its density is less and its weight is too less. I have used a sheet which is a mixture of padding sheet and rubber, its a closed cell sheet. I have started a new project of restoring Charade 88 in which I have done deadening of firewall aswell. I will share its pictures soon

Dear All,

This is my recent work regarding sound deadening of Charade 88, I have installed deadening sheet on the Firewal, Floor, and Trunk area, the car is having a better drive now.

First of All remove the dashboard and wiring connectors, there are four bolts near windscreen which needs to be opened and on the right and left there are two bolts on each side, once they are opened, then remove the steering wheel and indicator assembly, after it remove the Meter. Now the dashboard is ready to be removed, you can also remove gear lever console box if needed:

After removing the dashboard you can see the cooling box and AC unit:

Remove the cooling & heating unit by removing their nuts and bolts, once they are removed then I had installed the foam sheet of 3 MM, I had also applied auto sheet on the areas which were having rust (before the application of auto sheet, I had applied WD40.

Foam sheet is applied, now rubber foam sheet of 2MM will be applied on the foam sheet:

Kindly share where you got this 3mm foam and rubber sheet from and how much did it cost you per sq ft?

Edit: i did some reading and got to know that rubber shops have these but where would this kind of shop be in Lahore?

Please clear Foam sheet and rubber foam sheet are two different things ??
Detail and zoomed pictures with price is required please.
And what is auto sheet ?
