Oriel and Non Oriel Instrument clusters

these are the needle for Oriel and IVTEC versions

A short prelude. last year installed Cruise control in a freinds IVTEC prosmatec. he got this cluster which had the cruise circuit in it. the upper cluster as you all msut be well familiar with, is the instrument cluster for the IVTEC whereas the lower one is of the Oriel P/T. usually we dont note the difference and after we had bought the cluster we realise that they are different. @ Spano you were about to make this mistake! saved in time

WILL BE POSTING ZOOMED IN PICTURES ....the one with more transistors and ICs is of the CC cluster and vice versa.

after opening both clusters i noted that :

1. Theres one basic circuit board for all 8th Gens

2. ICs /resistors etc are added or subtracted according to the variant

3. its possible to make a CC cluster/optitron meter by adding the additional ICs etc.

NOTE: PWer and my dear freind Fireblade tried modifying my PKDM civic's cluster and got the LEDS installed in the CRUISE MAIN and CRUISE CONTROL slots. he also copied the software of the CC cluster onto mine but sadly it didnt work. hence im pretty sure you need to add the ICs/resistors etc

Multimedia Connections DONE in two cars, plus I managed to connect the additional two buttons. One for Mute and One for Folder Change

Now working on to find some way to get it cruised without replacement of Instrument cluster/ tachometer.
Let's see what's the outcome.

plz note that the Oriel(PKDM) has more LEDs as its the optitron variant whereas the CC meter is the non optitron meter .....

coming over to the left side where we have the cruise control and cruise main LEDS .. YOU WILL SEE THE CRUISE MAIN AND CRUISE CONTROL LEDs IN PKDM CLUSTER TOO. ME & FIREBLADE EXPERIMENTED BY ADDING THE LEDS. THE SCRUFFY SOLDERING SHOULD BE EASY TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE. THESE LEDs WERE TAKEN OF A CIVIC CLUSTER AND WERE WORKING ORDER BEFORE INSTALLING THEM

the lower one is optitron (Oriel one) . the one which glows and gradually turnss ON/OFF when we press lock/unlock button from our remotes. you can also see that the one on top has visible readings. the optitron shows the reading after the LEDs turn on.. optitron is more SEKSEE!!!

thanks Rizwan, it was all done with your support and help. I didn't mentioned the important part of this.
That multimedia buttons are working with PIONEER Head unit without any interface circuit.
Plus, I had two extra buttons,
One, I connected for ATT (Mute)
One, I connected for Folder Change
