i used a 4 pin relay instead of the the 4 pin brake light switch. I was having problems in figuring out the connections. Hence took a pic n mailed it to my freind Ivan in Malaysia. Here i would like to mention that Ivan is a v helpful n friendly guy. Just interacted over mails n forums etc. He is one of the 1st who DIYed the cruise in the 8th gen some of his successful DIY projects incl:
a. audio and cruise con
b. Trunk release
c. Auto retract windows n side mirrors
d.red interior lights of tacho,speedo n stereo same as SI
e. paddle shift gears (ongoing project)
A true professional n enthusiast! thank you sir for your contribution in the 1st ever PKDM cruisematec! Many will follow soon n we will get many more here in Pakistan! So heres what he sent me back!

Gentlemen thats all i had to work with. Used a bit of common sense, a delicate hand nn patience n i manged to get the cruise control activated!
Qasim aka Fireblade DIYed this yesterday. He received the instructions with the parts . We had a word last night and he literally did it in half an hour! Instead of connecting individual wires he bought the whole wiring loom which made the job a piece of cake.he used the 4 pin brake pedal switch! Ill be posting the illustrations he received. He has posted them in his thread in the Members / Member rides section. So the detailed illustration courtesy 'Fireblade' are as below!

as u can see that the Civic 8th Gen ECU has 3 connectors A,B n C. U will need to open the A connector n tap a wire at point 39 thats why its called A39. When the brake pedal is pressed it will give a signal directly to the ECU to disengage the Cruise. A detailed explanation of the wire connectors will be posted in the next post. The question here arises that you havent seen such a thing in ur car n u can swear that uve opened ur bonnet many times! Its located next to the battery n has a black cover (unlike Indus's rolla!) go n check carefully i swear its there!!

for cruise control in manual civic u just need an additional release sensor at the clutch pedal and connect it to A41 of the same connector. See the pinout at A41 as shown in the above pic! Rest all the procedure n wiring is same. All u will need is a manual tachometer having the cruise icons and an additional clutch mounted sensor! NOW LETS SEE WHO TAKES UP THE MANUAL CRUISE CONTROL PROJECT! ANY VOLUNTEER???

still cant forget the feeling! I was screaming like hell with joy and a large WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO YES YES YES YESSSSSSSSSSS WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.screamed at the top of my voice! When i reached home i SREAMED AT THE TOP OF MY VOICE YESSSSSSS YESSSSSSS WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO! wife thought i had gone crazy! Words cant explain my emotions at that very time. It took me over a year of extreme perseverence to achieve what i did.

here is the Connector A of the ECU opened. U can see that the wires and the numbers shown on the connector. You will have to connect the ECU wire at point 39. Fol two pics show the connector without the wire and in the second you can see the wire i inserted. You will have to connect it to the relay/4 pin brake pin
