Gentlemen, above are the pics of both the PKDM n USDM tachos. The top 1 is the USDM n lower PKDM. part no. Of the USDM can be seen n its 78200-SNA-150-M1 . This is the tacho of a 2010 LX Sedan . After 2008 in order to cater for driving in Canada,most of the Civic 8th Gens tachos were fitted with instrument clusters with the option to toggle between MPH and KMPH. US uses Miles whereas the Canadians use KM/H. When i plugged this in , the default setting was set to MPH. Had a few problems initially but later on figured out the wiring of that particular button n DIYed a concealed push button which now allows me to shift between MPH n KMPH which again is quite cool! (yet useless!) so now ive manages to get the cluster to KM/h n dont have to do the calculations that i had to! All those who are looking for clusters,this 1 at least works and has the cruise control circuit inside! So u can buy 1 like this with confidence!

in order to replace the tacho, u will need to to remove 3 screws n remove the connector behind. simple!

the 3 wires req to be connected to slots 9,10 n 11 of the tachometer Harness. (these slots are empty in our PKDM you will need to connect 3 wires into them as shown in the pic). Posting the Pinout of the tacho harness which will give u an idea how i did it. Numbering of the wires is from left to right. The colour code of the wires co relate to the pinout chart

in the pic above you can see two black wires (slots 15 n 16) in the top line of the connector.these are the the ground wires G503 N G504 respectively. I used the slot 16 (G504) for the ground i.e to connect the light green wire of the cruise switch to it . You can either use this wire or the black wire at the SEL /RESET button harness both are the same ground wire. Id recommend the black wire at the SEL/RESET as we already need to connect the illumination positive (grey wire) there , as hooking up behind the tacho harness reqs slightly more effort

THE CLOCKSPRING WAS AN EXACT MATCH.............IT WORKED! O boy oye boy you cant imagine how zunny was feeling at that moment especially when he looked up n saw that the Airbag light was OFF too!!! After 3 flipping months of zalaaalat n humiliation zunnys beloved was back in her prepregnancy shape(im talking of my beloved dont take me wrong for our Pakistani wives who look like our grandmas after the first kid lolz!!) on a serious note supreme court is infact yelling in real "Opar aao choroo is phone ka peecha aur munni ko uthao usnay sona hae aur so nahee rahee!! the PKDM brakelight switch as two wires in it whereas the foreign models that have cruise control in them have 4 wires going into it. the extra two wires are those which have already been discussed earlier n have to be plugged in at the A39 n Fuse 3(10A). as per Fireblade heimported the switch n it costed him 4k. u can use a Rs 100 4 pin relay n it does the same job as the 4 pin brake light. u will have connect the relay with the light green wire coming in to the brake light switch. the other wires req to be connected are as already shown in the relay pic i got marked from Ivan.

if u use the relay instead of the 4 pin brake switch,as i did, then as described in the pic above:

1. blue wire you will have to connect to the light green wire coming into the brake pin switch.

2.white n black wire to any metal part of the body (remember this isnt the other grounds G504/G503 used inconnecting the cruise wire) preferably to any nut/bolt near the brake switch.

1. connect green to fuse box (fuse3 (10A))

2. the black to the ECU A39

wires 3 n 4 can be interchanged. the blue n white can't why????? its coz the relay gets it power 'IN' from the blue wire and it is the light green wire that carries the power hence the relay works!!
