This is My First DIY Thread on PW. Have done many DIY but just 4 sake of fun but now i want some serious Knowledge about cars so PW brothers PLZ help and Give ur Precious Feedback. Here we GO

Will keep updating the list.

1 - Changing Central Locking Motor
Previous Motor was repaired and not sealed correctly so water goes in and the Motor Died. Bought a new Motor For 1500RS and put it back , did some detailing and everything is now working Fine.

2 - Cleaning the Jammed KEY Locks
As in Central locking cars the Locks Mostly got jammed after couple of years. So cleaned the locks and had them oiled. One locks needs new pins worth 100RS. Now they are working fine.

3 - Mending the Door Holders.
The job of Door holders is to hold the door at 2 specific positions. Half open and Full open. I choosed a free path but i recommend u to replace them if ur door does,t remain open by itself.

4- Removing Seats and Base Carpet to clean the whole Interior

Here Begins the First Part today removed the Panel and than the Motor will Buy new motor from HONDA a fix it back. Panels are cleaned with surf and polished.

The Machine has Adjustment of Everything. Just some adjustments and a push of a button and the screw or bolt in Hand

mine motor's wires are cut and a separate motor is installed for the lock... but i want to check the original one if it can be repaired or replaced...

Plastic Sheet is back and i carefully take off things and put them back carefully cuz in cars a small mistake can result in BIG LOSS BTW THANKS A LOOOOOT

The previous motor that i replaced was also repaired and i could have repaired it again but just replaced the whole motor and now i,m tension free cuz a repaired motor is no more water proof will upload the pics of previous motor, opened

After removing the Plastic sheet what u will find is this

Looking inside

There are 4 rods coming out of the MOTOR SET u need to disconnect all of them its better to disconnect them from the other side rather than from the Motor set

The motor and locking mechanism are attached by 4 small screws just open them and separate them

As now u have the motor just replace it with the new one and roll back the whole procedure

This is the inside of the Motor which i replaced. As the previous owner had it repaired so the one who repaired it did,t sealed it correctly and the water gets in and the Poor motor (Allah ko Pyari ho gai) :'(.

Took me 1 hour to remove the motor from the car and than it took 2 days to find a fully functional motor. Honda was demanding 2880RS and i was told to receive the motor after more than a week. So went to second hand spare parts shop and after going through dozens of shops at last found a Working Motor for 1500RS the Motor is like Brand new and is Working 100% fine.

Now the detailing Part

Used the WD-40 to clean all Moving Parts specially the Brackets of Windows For smooth working of Windows.

Cleaned all panels with Surf and than Polished all of them

Everything is back in Place and Working fine now its time for the Next DIY

I see some rust inside the door frame - use a wire brush to clean it off and apply some thick enamel paint to it - It also seems like either the car was repaired at some point in time or Honda have now forgot to spray body wax into the door cavities. They also have not pasted the plastic like it should, it should be sealed at all edges to prevent moisture from getting into the interior.

btw the plastic looks like polyethylene - on a honda mylar sheet is normally used and pasted with butyl strips. - If you do any repair next time, try to get the thickest plastic sheet possible, the plastic sheet that bumpers are wrapped in is good you can also use the plastic foam that comes attached to LCD and plasma flat panels when they are new.

but what adhesive to use to attach the plastic sheets? and once you mentioned cosmoline as an alternative to body cavity wax, is it commonly available at gun shops or ill need to try hard to find it?

to attach the sheets butyl strip adhesive - it comes in rolls, its a very sticky semi solid rubber.

For cosmoline - yes the gun shops would have it. Its applied to them for rust prevention.

Actually previous owner had it repaired by some kind of chawal Mechanic. Don,t know what is the Original condition so could,t go 4 that.
Can i paint Laycer (Don,t know the right spelling but i,m talking about the transparent layer that we have on Paint) on Rusted areas.

you mean lacquer? - nope that wont help with rusting and it would be really messy spraying it, wire brush the rust till you have bare metal exposed, now apply the enamel paint with a small brush. Proper rust treatment paints are actually moisture cured epoxy which also have some fish oil in them to seal the rust. But sadly none are available in Pakistan - thanks due to our behtreen ustaad industry.
