DIY RCA cables

here is a little DIY i did of RCA cables. the best RCA cables are made from co-axial cables as they are very well shielded and are virtually noise free. simple DIY so i'll get straight to it.

here is what you will need

strip the Co-axial cable. this by the way is the cable used for cable TV

insert the cover of the terminal first.

slip on the front piece and solder the wires in place.

tighten the cover of the RCA terminal back on and you are done

repeat on the other side, i made 4 wire for my front and rear channels.

i just delayed my diy thinking that how this thick wire will get in the back cover of rca pin(5th pic) bt this diy encouraged me alot and i'll definitely give it a try...

i used to make guitar instrument cables in this way back in high school

indeed, co-axial cables are the best...but i hate that they are so stiff...

Sir one word for this effort. Just WOW. I can do that easily. I have made stereo cables and Microphone cable exactly the same that you did this. Did u purchase these things from Collage Road Na ?

sir dont know whats the quality difference between the wires u mentioned but better quality wire will give better quality output..

the nose plier is actually the type that opens up when u press the handles. this is used for opening clips on car hoses. i used it to open the ring on the RCA connector. (check the 7th pic from top, solder on the bottom). the plass was used to close this ring after the wire was inserted.

so now, who wants custom made RCA?

no sir, not too stiff. u can see the wire coiled in the last pic. i think i can route them through the car with ease. the only problem i see is that the bunch might be too thick. well i can always route em from both sides of the car with the power wire running through the middle of the car...
