Dear All,
yesterday after office i noticed that driver side power window of my car is not working (once down not going up)... instead of going to some workshop i decided to try to fix it myself...
Most of the pics i have are after it got fixed as before i was more concerned about fixing the issue
Issue was that the plastic clips keeping glass intact with lever that moves up and down, broke
sharing the process with you
1: First took off the door trim so that lever and glass is accessable

2: since the clips were broken, so i got a wire of appropriate thickness and tied a knot in the hole for the clips...
that was the best think i could find at that time

it wasnt that simple becoz space was pretty tight and knot got be tight ... so two knots one on one side of lever (visible in pics above) and one on the other
3: Checked the window working now, there was a lil mis alignment when window closed

Its because the knot on the other side wasnt tights enough so got to manage with hand a light while closing the window
4: Anyways that was the best i can do under given circumstances
after that the process of putting back things started, so first it tried to stick the plastic sheet back which wasnt in good condition after 10 yrs

after that put the door trim back in place

fixed the power window pannel and door look thingie and tightened the screws

5: So every thing back... it was working pretty good

Still working after one day
hopefully i find some better thing soon instead of wire knot
Hopefully you find it interesting and helpful... btw it wasnt that difficult
thanks
