Sir aap ki suggestions sir ankhon pe but let me tell u sir that ur suggestions will work for a SQ system. SPL k liye lakri ya loha dono shakal krab kerdeinge or aisa lagega jaisay kisi ne andar se wood ka pice thokne ki koshish ki hai cos either the brace would strike repeatedly against the fender or it will stop only the area around it from flexing while rest is flexing.

actually at first i didnt quiet understand what u meant by the wood. i thought u were talking about a wood panel kinda thingy, something like that flat gray thingy that is in the pic... but now after the looking at the pic u drew i understood more.

No i wont ! and yes atleast it will stop rattling...noise free bass is much better u know...thats the whole point of dampening here(in case of sid)..cause SPL system will def spill bass outside the car no questions asked...even if it is damped...

and im speaking from first hand experience here... a humble request...pls dont disregard everything i say... atleast give it a try...

sir the bass wont push the brace out :S koi zaati dushmani tou nai hai na bass ki brace ke saath...ke sirf ussi pe act karay...

when the bass kicks..anything that is loose will vibrate and rattle... we're just making the fender solid.and giving it support so its not loose anymore...warna its nothing more than a thin metal sheet u know...

sir we will definitely give it a try but just a little differently. first we will shape a pice of wood around 6"x6" to stick in the fender, with dampening material between fender and the wood. secondly we will put that brace in and on the fender side, it will rest on the piece of wood. this way the force will be distributed on a larger area and hopefully the fender will not be distorted. what do you say?

u mean a piece of wood on the patri opposite the fender ? or u mean the amprack ?
either way that depends on how well that piece of wood is mounted... so yeah go that route if u want...

and use MDF...chipboard and Plywood wont cut it here...

I think you will have to keep any sort of liquid or water away from the trunk now as the underlay will absorb water and cause rust

underlay does not soak up water. and u should keep the trunk away from water anyways.

mohsin129's (shajeel) car damping was excellent. no vibrations at all. really enjoyed it.but his was a sealed setup and more tuned for SQ and not output..

but Sid's car is massively loud. the box is uber huge...produces massive volume. so difficult to dampen this beast.
