The Honda pilot is considered as one of the best value for money SUVs for 2017. That being said It has some issues .. Especially with its electric system. The starter tends to mess up and can leave u stranded in the middle of the road according to several complaints . which is a surprise. As even cheap cars have reliable push start buttons nowadays. What's more surprising is that this problem usually occurs with brand new vehicles. And even though it usually is resolved once u take it back to the dealer, it leaves the owner baffled. Secondly the Honda pilot has a rather old generation ACC (adaptive cruise control) which turns off without a warning chime when the vehicle goes under 20mph. And also there have been reports of the vehicle going beyond set speed limit with the ACC on. The braking system even though not bad isn't great. And the CVT 9speed transmission on the touring and elite models are rather fussy and indecisive according to some people. Though it is probably one of the better ones in the market . And the RES (rear seat entertainment system) is a waste of money.. The pilot comes with a number of appealing and useful option though. But a lot of it has to be well thought out by the customer . as in my opinion it would be way better to go for car store option and accessories rather than factory fitted ones. I would strongly suggest that if you really have decided that the Honda pilot is your thing. Then go for an EX with AWD and Honda sensing. ( though in UAE u could even live with FWD if u aren't thinking about the occasional spin in the desert) . the reason why I am not suggesting a higher trim is because it won't give you the bang for your buck. U could use that humongous amount of saved money to buy accessories for the store to really plushup your ride later.
