Do you recommend car auto tune up/ auto tunning for better fuel average?

Hey i have recently purchase Honda city 2006 model and someone recommend me to take service for auto tune up they will restore car injectors etc with different machines to increase fuel average . but here i have read about this someone told that he did this but his car fuel average get worst and he have to change engine so please tell me is it good to take this type of services or not?
please share your experience as well as its pros and cons.

yes tune up necessary if previous owner don't do any maintenance work.
do following in tune up
fuel filter and strainer change
spark plugs with recommended number. idsi use copper plugs dont go with iridium etc etc. tappet setting
cat converter cleaning if it still exists.
injector cleaning (if necessary)
throttle and manifold cleaning.

after all this yur city need idle learning
takeout battery for 1 min car should be warm enough
switch ignition wait 2 sec then turn on engine. all accessories should be off(head light ac radio etc)
push paddle to 3000rpm unti radiator fan comes on. you need help of any person who can tell you that radiator is on.
release paddle and let car idle for 5minute(for better learning leave it for 10 minutes)
switch off engine after 5/10 min
when ever your battery dies you have to follow this procedure for better fuel economy
engine change due to injector cleaning . its possible if some dirt or hard material goes inside engine when injectors are off otherwise its hard to digest this statement

Cat cleaning entails removing it from car, dipping it in a bucket of some magic liquid (maybe caustic solution - don't know exactly what). then washing with water and blowing out with compressed air. Usually this process will turn the honeycomb into cracked biscuits in a few months.

Throttle and manifold cleanup is emptying half a can of carb cleaner in the MAF, butterfly (if there is one) and dousing the manifold with the same. Expected outcome is 17km/lit!!

With experience I learned that whenever I cleaned a maf sensor that was somewhat warm, the outcome was a lazy sensor but still somewhat usable (it became slightly decayed inconsistent with its age)

I later came to know through all such manufacturers training and data, cleaning the maf is only done once or twice in its entire life and even then its checked for its response time with an oscope and compared to a known good sample. If its off, replace it with a brand new OE or OES or OEM (at least part) <———— pricey and very pricey in some cases.

As you said, MAF needs no maintenance if one keeps up with regular replacement of the air filter, modern cars don't need a "tune up". This practice is a carry over from the carby days when one had to clean the jets and remove sediment from the float bowl. My old Kia had 200,000 km on it when I sold it off. Never had its MAF cleaned. Maybe had plugs changed twice. Modern cars really don't need much in the way of maintenance. One has to keep up on top of fluid and filters. That is about it.
