Documents Check Before Buying Used Car (Please Help)

In a day or two I will finalize deal for my Cultus. It's basically a second owner vehicle with company being the 1st owner.

I would greatly appreciate if PakWheelers could number the documents that I need to check to make sure they are complete.

I have some idea about Sales Invoice, Book, Deed. But still I am raw, if you guys could write down a little with details It will be really beneficial to me.

complete file of car including invoices, tax , excise docs, ( if it is isb reg, then you will only get book)
book/smart card(for isb)

do check with 15

deed is necessary if it is on open letter...

Thank you brother. The car is Karachi registered and is not on open letter. Still the deed has to be there?

no, when you purchase car, go to excise office, you will get deed from there, the owner should be present to get deed, when the owner signs and puts thumb impression on deed, he loses his owenership and you get it....

deed can be availed from main GPO normally like here in Pindi ISB, not sure about karachi,

also make sure the file is with owner or not, if the file is with owner, there would be a stamp on the book from excise office that, "original file is returned to owner"

if this stamp is on the book, and owner does not have file, then dont buy it unless you verifiy the file....

No, I mean the vehicle is with its second owner already so there has to be an old deed in the documents or no?

if the car is transfered to his name then deed is not necessary to be present, coz it is taken by excise office......if it is not transfered to his name then he should have it....

Lahore main car buy kernay kay leay kon kon say document check kernay hotay hain or kya kya check kerna hota hay. Agar duplicate book ya duplicate file ho to kya buy kerni chaheay gari (mujhay ne lagta per confirm ker raha hoon)

for karachi .. the documnets required are:
(from photocopy shops)
sell deed.
sales receipt.
transfer letter.
delivery letter.

complete car documents (sales invoice, car book, return file, owner history etc).. also cplc clearance and tax shud be paid.
at the time of change of ownership TO form is required
... also make sure to get cnic copy of the prev owner

Guys What if I'm buying a car on bank's name and the available document are complete and only original invoice is missing which is duplicate provided by company on banks request. Original book is available. Kindly advise

I am having issue with my Karachi number car documents. I dont know when i baught car from 1st owner i just got following documents:
☆ Company Invoice of the car
☆ Letter of the owner
☆ Blue Registration Book
☆ Some Documents of Token Tax

Im selling my car now and the new owner ia demanding for the FILE of the vehicle ??

Can anyone guide me what documents FILE includes which are missing in my doc list ??
