Dongfeng S30 hatchback, the H30

Despite Dongfeng being a mass car producer for Honda, Kia, Nissan, and various other companies they’re a relative new comer to the world of self produced cars. Their first sedan was designed by the Italian firm DSG and reportedly rides on the Citroen ZX platform.

Despite its aging underneath, the S30 has struck a cord with buyers in second and third tier cities in China, and thanks to its 1.6L engine sales taxes are also low. Dongfeng are planning to launched the hatchback version at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2009, one can easily tell that the hatchback is similar in style to the Hyundai i10..
