Bus-trailer crash leaves 9 dead, 40 injured near Islamabad | SAMAA TV

ISLAMABAD: Eight people died and 30 others sustained injured as a bus collided with a trawler near Islamabad Toll Plaza on Sunday.The Lahore-bound bus collided with a truck near Islamabad Toll Plaza on Sunday.
According to police, the dead and injured were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims).
Police further said that the driver of the bus went to sleep during accident. The bus hostess and the guard were included among the Eight dead.
There were around 70 passengers in the bus at the time of accident

Same incident happen couple of weeks ago, when our company driver was driving a 4x4 with 3 passengers and during his journey he was continuously coughing and during that his vehicle hit a dirt patch and driver lost control resulting vehicle upside down, ALHAMDULILAH everyone was safe due to roll bars..

I always take coffee to stay alert. Otherwise feel very drowsy on motorway.

Have had several drowsiness episodes on motorway.

Sometimes I get so tired long distance driving u just can't keep yours eyes open it's like someone's tied 2. Bricks to ur eye lids. Now I just pull over and go 10 15 walk it doesn't matter what the weather is. Normally that gives me 2/3 more hours.

another symptom is you cant keep track of your mirrors, when driving with active mind, i know about every vehicle around me and how much i can swerve safely without cutting off someone. when i'm sleepy, i only know whats ahead of me and try to avoid swerving at all to prevent any mishap.

motorway and driving at 120 or less
is like sleeping pills for me

True. Driving at slow speeds on motorway sucks. That's why I drive at 120. Did a solo trip- FSD-ISB in 10 hours. Went to sleep at kallar Kahar in the way back for an hour in the car. Power sleep:) sometimes I get so tired, I see cars and swerve even though there's nothing there

But one can doze off on GT road as well. Stopping as resting for sometime is much better.

True, you're right.

But gt road keeps a person more awake. Braking more frequently, overtaking and you have to stay more focused, don't know when suddenly a donkey cart might come into the middle of the road. Sleep is very important. I have seen hallucinations of cars on motorway, that's how tired I get sometimes
