Today i have applied for renewal of driving license in Lahore. I went to city traffic police office in Liberty actually located in the park infrint of liberty market car parking. I went there at 9:15am. There was a traffic police officer standung outside the office. I enquired him about renewal of license, so he pointed out to a person sitting next to the mai door of the office. That person was actually selling tickets and providing license renewal form. He demanded 2 photographs, national identity card copy, original license and 950 rupees. After fulfilling his requirements he completed one file and handed over to me for filling the form.
This file contains a package of my original driving license, license renewal form, 2 photographs ( which I provided him in white background) TCS slip and tickets of 900 rupees. I filled renewal form and TCS slip and went inside the office.
When you will enter the office on the right hand side there is one small room in which two persons are sitting. One is lady office and other is male officer. I think lady officer was for making learners license and male officer was for renewal of license. I handed my file to the male traffic police officer and he said just wait outside i will call your name. Whithin 5 minutes he called my name. I went to his office. He asked me to sit infront of him. After this he filled one form on computer and just asked my about my mobile number and demanded original Id card. After that he placed one register infront of me in which i have to provide some basic information about myself such as my name, father name, id card number, license type, signatures and thumb impression. After this he asked me to give him 200 rupess which was i think for TCS. He told me that within 10 working days they will deliver the license to the address provided in TCS slip. I asked him that during these 10 days if any situation arises that traffic police need my driving license then? He answered that just keep one copy of driving license with you and most probably by today evening your data will be online. I was satisfied by his anwer and i left the office.
Conclusion:
It was really good experience and it hardly took 20 minutes to complete the procedure. Staff is mych cooperative and supportive.

200 rupees for TCS
60 rupees for photographs
30 rupees for parking
