Its time Pakistan look into real driving school properly accredited, checked on International measures and the graduates can be lincenced to open instiuitions nationalwide..

We already have taken our Bussiness school education standard to worldclass students do get credits joining other schools worldwide so what why not driving standards cant be improved?

Poor can be taught for less - the on the job trained with car driving should be reduced and eliminated with time without theory knowledge.

teaching the country will help nationwide as it has helped other nations.

Paying all those traffic police men standing in hot cold weather controlling taffic,, isnt it better they can be teaching the way they were taught and go for better higher graduation in same field

i guess before driving lessons, people need good proper education, atleast bachelors...

rashid bhai, jokes aside, when i took my driving test here a year or so ago it was a joke how they asked me to take a car 10 meters forward and then reverse it back to where i started i was like "what?" and after i did it and my friend did it they asked "who just went" and jokingly my 3rd friend who didn't take a test said it was him they said "ok passed" and that was all the test was.

makes me worry about the standards of driving here.

recently a kid in a black baleno overtook a car on the left (breakdown lane) whne i was passing on the right, forcing him to swerve towards my car and almost hititng me. when we (me and the guy in the other car which almost him me) caught him at the light and confronted him he was like "i know how to drive, don't teach me" and didn't want to listen to the fact that he was wrong. i swear if my wife and kids weren't with me in the car i would have dragged him out of his car and beat him to a pulp on the street and then called the cops to take him away. (btw it looked alot like @jaazz's car https://www.pakwheels.com/forumreply_az_TopicID!59548~ForumID!28~page!1~pw.html - hope it wasn't him)

this is why in my family the rule is "get a liscence from the UK and then you can drive on the roads".

sadly it's our generation which has made driving so bad, so we should all look at each other first before blaming anyone else.

in our country most driving schools are meant for women only. In reality everyone needs driving training or at least road counseling especially public transport drivers

Storm really reverse and drive straight? nowadays i've heard they've improved the system of tests atleast in lahore, they ask you questions and stuff like that if i remember correctly parallel parking is also included. Still however one can easily dial a few numbers and get his license by just sitting at a place

Salam ppl I m new here.

Driving test! well i also went to get a permanent license the officer was middle aged around 45-50 asked me "sara kharcha aik saath bataon ya aik aik karkay"..

He said "1 ghantay main aap ko license mil jaiga... 3600/= ka kharcha hoga, jis main medical waghera bhi shamil hai"..

It was 26th of ramadan.. I said "Shukriya, main Eid ke baad ajaonga."

Well well well....

It took me 8 months to get driving license when i was in uae . They used to emphasize on safety of protected and unprotected road users. Safety and rules are parallel. Even after 8 months of training period and having a license from there when i came here......

i could not dare to think of driving here. First of all because of left hand drive difference and then the ignorant traffic.

I went to get training classes... on the first day trainer took me to road ( that was a blast on my head, i went to road after six months of training in school in uae )

Then he wasnt telling me rules....instead he was telling me ways to drive only be it at the cost of my life or any accident. how to steer to side cut ...agar rush bohat hay cars k darmiyaan say apni car kesay nikalni hay... aap aagay walay ko dekhtay raho peechay say chahy koi bhi gari thok dey. ( when i said what if someone hits me from back...he said police ussay he pochay ge wtf :-S) means we just need to learn how to drive car...no rules no safety is our concern.

i changed the trainer and this second one is doing no different job then the previous one. I am a driver...a scared driver here and wanted training for self confidence only....but still i have started having phobia of Lahore traffic. God knows what i will do :-S
