To all other travelers, some tips
- Mullah k Basti is empty now as residents have moved down as WINTER IS COMING.
- If you plan to travel, you can stay inside the stone houses as it gets very very cold in the night.
- For beginners, my advice is, do hire a porter or a guide.
- Always follow the stream/ tributary.
- Try to start as early as possible.
- Take food items like dates, chocolates, dry fruit and fruits with you instead of carrying regular food items. These items will keep you warm and provide enough energy to track all the way.
- Keep yourself hydrated. Carry ORS/ Tang/ Lemonpani stuff with you. Take small quantity of water at a time. Don't just fill in your stomach at once.
- Plan your trip properly. Buy/ hire proper gear i.e sleeping bag, tent etc.
- Try to travel with group. It will make you feel safe.
- Take proper gear for cold as it gets very very cold as the night falls.
