Dunlop Tyres?

Hi Guyz , Yesterday I went to change my tyres and I was told by my friend to buy Bridgestone B-70 (indonesian) . Then I went to Melody to a tyre shop and he said that I should go for japanese tyres and that Dunlop were better than BridgeStone and could go on higher speed 210km as to Bstonme 190kms . Bstone were Rs.10,000 and Dunlop were Rs.9,000 So I bought Dunlop . After fitting them I went to my friend n he said you should have bought Bstone as Dunlop gets harder and out of shaope very soon . Please tell me did I make a bunder or are Dunlop 175 , 2006 model La Mans tires any good ??

My car came with original Bridgestone tires from Japan. My father later replaced them with the same when the due time came. I then replaced those with Dunlop tires (when we needed replacement again) and have found them to be much more stable and fun to drive. Also, they've lasted longer than Bridgestone's. It's true that Bridgestone was once really good; my previous car had Bridgestone one after the other for four years but now no more. I just feel Dunlop is better so . . . i guess it was quite good thing you went for it.

Also, many like myself believe Japanese products more superior and while Dunlop and Yokohama are the only Jap ones in the market, i'd always go for Dunlop. So . . . relax.

Atleast both Dunlop and Bridgestones are better than local General Tyres

hi all, i have recently replaced Dunlop Eco with the factory fitted general for my cultus.....they are working gr8..only a 1-2 km/lit difference than the normal ave....plus getting good grip,breaking,and control.....you made a wise decision no need to look back...

Thankx for the infoi guyz but I've heard the Goodyear are not that good after all:) coz the are made in india and the guy said I should go for japanese tyres ???????

Dunlop are good tyres. I think the average GOOD life of a tyre is some where around 5 years, after that, usually all the tyres start creating problems......

Well I did check the performance of the tyres
70km/h in rain (margalla road) fullbreaks stops very neatly
Then I did some zig zags and the car (lancer) was very much in contol

well, i cant say much about the number of years testdriver but i would certainly say that 50000km ought to be the average mileage of each tire.

i rotate all five of mine every 10000 km.

Dunlop are the best after Yokohoma. You made a right choice. Much better than Bridgestone these days.

dunlop has edge on bridgestone tyres as they are more durable.

i use michelin energy 185/65/15 in my city.

Tyres are providing good road grip,handling is pretty good but hell the tyres have proven to be very delicate specialy from the side walls.

I have got two tyres damaged one after other from the sidewall. they are one of the most expensive tyres in its class but i would say not made for pakistani, specially for karachi roads.

dunlop are very much better and strong tyres, i used them in my previous car, the sp port version, for 2 and a half years and hardly got them punctures probably 2wice etc.

ACTUALLY I WAS CONFUSED WHICH ONE TO GET MICHELIN AND DUNLOP.

MICHELIN IS EXPENSIVE THAN DUNLOP AND IS USED FOR RACING CARS AS WELL. BUT MY FRIENDS ARE RECOMENDING ME DUNLOP. HOWEVER, I REALLY LIKE THE FEEL AND GRIP OF MICHELIN IN MY FRIENDS CIVIC.

b4 dunlop i was usin es100 they were also good
em usin b70 in suzuki bolan these tyres has increased the comfort in bolan dabba
but the common thing tht ev1 shuld do tht dont buy smuggled tyres only go 4 imported ones
