Yup..But keep in mind yeah shop audio shop nahi.
1/2" is too thick i think. you will have trouble sticking it in different places.
I have 1 inch instralled:P up i knw.. 3/4 is enoughf as far as i think after u form the trunk too!! Its give cery cleen sound had tried that earlier n it was doing the job!!

can you post a picture of the material. Does it have a foam base because thats the only thing that comes to my mind which can be in 1" thick. How.much does the material weigh btw ?

Is it something used for refrigeration equipments? If it adds considerable weight to a door, only then can sound deadening be achieved.
