Hmmm...
Brother, I had already told you (when we had discussion some months ago) that Total Quartz 9000 Future series 5w-30 is excellent, its value to money, and is API SN / SN +, and / or ILSAC GF-5 certified (unlike Amsoil, which I believe do not have any API service rating / Seal / Donut affixed on it)
which type of noise? you didn't update uspl share ur experience
Vvt rattle
Aka
Toyota ka jhunjhuna
My bad. I was too busy in last few months.Startup noise. Grrrrrr of vvti; however, its gone on total 5w30 though. As @basitali87 has said total 5w30 is value for money. Surely it is.
And it felt so so so bad with such costly oil.
what is the reason of this sound on amsoil and not on total?amsoil being more costly shoul have been more efficient in every possible way. what were the gains over total? it means its not worth it
This is where the whole scam lies.
Only coldstarts were noisy and grinding.Fuel economy was same, engine felt smoother and acceleration also felt smoother, but that coldstarts with grrrrrrr noise were awful.
it means amsoil is just placebo.thanks for sharing ur experience

I m facing same grrrr sound whenever sarts the car i the morning. The car is mostly in rest mode, but i starts its engine after ever 4 to 5 days.
What could be the reason. Or is it normal?
1.3 corolla 10 modl, 70 k driven.5w30 fully synthetic oil
If you have bought this car second hand then the meter is reversed most probably and in high mileage cars used on thick engine oil this issue occurs. VVT rattle is common on high mileage NZ and ZR engines.
Try cranking engine a little just one time and then start it. It is good for cars parked for a longer period of time.
how to crank engine a little as usually it starts on first self
No it doesn't. You can do it. Just rotate a key for few milliseconds and back. It won't start.
Thebprobabilty of meter reversing is very less as i know the old man from whom i.have purchased. He then bout it in 2013 and sold it in 2020. He was using 10w30, i shifted to 5w30. On the other hand everything is in prestine condition, milage is abt 17 to 18 km on motorway. By the way what problem creates such sound?
