im not too worried about the warranty, it will be void even if you change your CD-player. basically you do anything to your own car and the warranty will be void. If one paid 1.7 million for it the least he would do is what he wants to do with it, not what toyota allows him to do within warranty.

my experience has been a very pleasant one, with barely any difference in driving on CNG or petrol. The car starts and drives on petrol until the engine warms up, It is hard to notice when the car changes fuel, and there are no jerks or missing or any sort of indication of the change.
uptill now ive had the CNG filled at max for Rs.570,

According to my last fill up the car had driven 117kms and the red light was on, the fill up costed Rs.470, which means more than 10km juice was still left in the car.

according to this calculation 470/117 = 4.01Rs/km impressive performance IMO.

well its gud enuf for a new setup, but still not too good for now. our gli 07, with 55kg cylinder, does 135-140 km on 100 AC on in local drive....and u are also aware that that car has a better power to weight ratio than the new gli. so i guess, on a 60kg cylinder, this average is not so gud (remember....liana does around 160km with AC in local with 60kg cylinder). i m not trying to belittle ur car or something. please dont mind. all i m saying is that if the car is onnly doing 130 being a vvti (engines made for economy), these figures are not impressive enough. in my opinion, this average wud improve with the passage of time inshAllah

I think you missed out a few things, there was still Rs.100 worth of CNG left in the car since the car is full on Rs.570 and my last refill cost was Rs.470, and obviously it was driven on Ac all this time. so using this calc 100/4.01 = 25kms aprox. so the car still had 25Kms juice still left that would give a total drive of aprox 145-150Kms with aircon. and all this time it was driven in the city at 40-70Km/h. still impressive IMO.

well..i just quoted ur own stats...117 plus 10 kms = 127 kms (i still said 130kms) :)...and yes i agree its gud, but not gud enuf (having 60 kg cylinder)...but as i said, its gona improve...but this heating up and then switching to CNG theory is not gud enuf. we, being in army, are often posted to locations where there is extreme cold...eg quetta, where CNG is available. so the offices are nearby and when u reach office, the car is not hot enuf to switch to CNG, so we wnd up driving on petrol all the time hehehe

the heating up and converting is what happens in all cars, even with the locally fitted CNG, the system works as follows, you either have the engine warm and it converts instantly or the car reaches a specific RPM and then converts. Nothing new. every car has a practicality limit, i guess CNG is not for your area then.

oh achaa bhai..ur car does more than a mehran..khush ??? aap baat ko negative sense mein ley rahay hein to mein kya karoon ab...abt the heating up and then converting to CNG theiry, it is not at all with every car. we have a platz, a corolla, a civic, a santro, 2 lancers, and ALL dont convert themselves. the moment car starts on petrol, it shfts to CNG, hot or not...and that is how it goes. this system in new corolla is like the one which came in FF Baleno. abt the average, well, @autophile has a 2005 corolla, which regularly does 160 km with AC on CNG in local our gli also does 145km with CNG in local on 55kg...aap to aisay keh rahay hein keh jaisay hamaray aap say muqaabla hay.....i m ONLY saying keh for NOW this average is LESS for a fuel efficient car with 60 kg cylinder, and it WILL be better, much better in future. aap to larnay ko tayyar hein aagay say.

this is not a debate and i never took it as a debate, after your constant requests i did put up a review as promised, and i thought it was my responsibility to communicate the correct info, which is why i have been clarifying the ambiguities.

about the converting part, i think you need to research it further, i am available if you have any queries. all cars convert on either of the two conditions as i mentioned. you can even adjust the convert rpm so that it converts when it reaches the specific rpm(i had my vitz convert rpm readjusted to 1000rpm instead of 1800rpm), i guess your cars have it set too low, which is why it converts earlier.

and im not quite sure how the fuel average will increase as it is driven further. please shed some light. According to what my brain says a new car is the most efficient, its efficiency decreases due to wear n tear as it is driven further on.
