Today i was with family, didnt push the car thou, but exact figures are a little less then 100km/h at exactly 3400 rpm @ fourth gear.

The other day a quoted 3400 rpm @ 100km/h 4th Gear that was with 4-5 people in the car,

These pics are off today, Me alone in the car.

First 3 pics are off the 4th gear. Last 2 pics are when the 5th Gear was launched.

Judge for your self if you find these figures reasonable.

Sorry for blurr pics, its not easy to take pics while driving, im just concerned if this on Petrol what would be on CNG

Nothing but here people are worried that its due to underpowered thing whwmere as city does with same rpm

thats almost 3900 rpm at 110 km/h, its a nice car to comute in the city, but it just misses that crisp... im not sure about the VTEC city but the IDSI City also misses that crisp being a 1200cc.

The 9th Gen has a lil better figures then this one.

Gears ratios ok, but why the backlight in left LCD is lesser orange than right one?? Is there any brightness control ?

^ Camera flash probablyy, its not easy taking pics at this speed, ( inoe what i did was wrong) But was worth sharing thou.

I do agree there should be brightness control aswell., Altho the lights are quite okay but just a additional feature thou, But then there wouldnt be much difference in the Altis/Gli meter

I dont know why ppl are so concerned about rev/min for these econoboxes. btw i dont consider 10th gen 1.3L under powered, and yes i do remember that 9th gen xli/gli were labelled under powered too back then. Is there any bench mark to quantify or have we set any min bar to begin with.

Generaly thinking your totaly right, nobody drives them more 80km/h Citi but the thing is that we were only comparing CNG consumption would be a little higher as compared to the 9th Gen Corolla. Due to the weight/lenght of the car.

We arnt talking about speed, racing etc. Its just about the consumption, as the Engine has to work slightly more then it had to in the 9th Gen Corolla.

Similarly, Swift gives way better mileage in then the Liana, Just because the same engine has to work lesser.

Thats what my point was, i have had Corollas in family since Corolla 1300 came out, So we are die hard fans to, I didnt wanted to ruin anyone saying that Corolla is a bad car, Just that i dont enjoy driving the 1.3L 10gen Corolla as much i enjoyed driving my Baleno, 9th Gen Corolla, etc

if dats so, then wats the myth of 10th gen corolla being underpowered yaar. iguess the car is way more comfortable and stable than the previous gen corolla, dats why seems less agile n pushy. rite ?
