I was about to buy a vitz (2006 in 13.4 Lacs) but my friends are suggesting to wait as the recent decrease in new cars price will effect the second hand market including these Japanese cars as well.What do you people think?
I think, there will not be much impact on the prices of old cars. If price of a new one car has decreased by 0.1 million than the price of old one might decrease by 50 thousands.
There will be an impact but it will take some time, at least few months. Reason is that if Covid continues, then sellers will continue to find some buyers willing to put down lot of cash without any research/market surveys etc.
There will be an impact for sure. May take a month or 2 but it will be there as used car sellers can't demand a price that is now closer to new car price after price reduction of around 1 lac on every vehicle.
So I should wait for few months
by the time the prices will hike... dollar rate is also increasing
If delivery improves and own money go away prices of old one will fall big timeI recently sold my altis 2011 and i can get a yaris with difference of jst 8 lac brand new if i buy without own
