i have the idea of ustaad class in gulf so as long as you are doing things by book using right tools & sealants there will be no issues.

make sure you wash engine & head clean multiple times after ' Ghesaai ' use plenty plenty of lube when assembling. Use correct torque to load head over block

Mate just tried to be a bit fast in doing so ... took me a while in ramazan specially in day time due to visibility ..... used snapon torque wrench with specified torque of 33 lb ft and 48 lb ft. and tight them back with sequence

Carby removed and general cleaning completed

Oil pan removed cleaned oil pan mesh filter cleaned , crank bolts re tightened

and pan back in place.

Plan is to start the seized engine which has been restored ( DIY lol ) and implant the whole setup of donor car back into eg hatchback.

Note : Eg hatch had a B16 setup in it so the fuel tank and all the related mounts axle had been of a B series in it which i will remove and keep it a side.

Need vacuum line diagram although i have marked the lines before removing it but still just in case. .....

I have refer the mesh filter which is actually the oil pickup strainer ..... a jali thing in the oil pan....

What to do desi terminology ki adat hogaye hai lol hahahahah

I have check for the debris and particle traces which i didn't found but trust me it was hell dirty and sludgy

Excellent thread. The same silver Civic model had been in our home since new in 1995 till selling in 2012 so I felt quite an attachment to this donor Civic. Pity to see it being gutted. But giving new life to the hatch. Great work!

Checked and adjusted the timing before giving it a dry crank so the oil could circulate without spark and fuel.

Let me know guys if i am making any mistake, I have choosen double parallel line II to align as a reference point at main pulley only issue is that i can't set enough tention on th timing belt. As far as i know i stressed the left side counter clock side through loosing and tightening back the tensioner bering bolt 14 at timing belt but still the timing belt lacks stress.

Masha'Allah a wonderful project going on and I pray for it's successful completion.

As like many of us who own this model I am also emotionally attached with the sleekness and beauty of this car.
I will try to learn from your experience that you will gather during the restoration of this car and will try to share my knowledge as well.

I am a bit concerned about re-sealing of the oil pan, user manual suggests to use a little silicon on all four ends of the two semi-curcular sections of the pan gasket.

However, i have heard people saying to use silicon on whole lenght of the gasket for proper sealing while some say not to use silicon at all.

As you must know, oil leakage from the oil pan is a real PITA if not done properly, what's your take on this and how did you do this job?

Dear Shabbir.1 ,

My only concern is to start the engine and to check if its running smoothly, If it does then the real game will kick in.

I have initially used 5 liters of petrol in place of engine oil to flush all the debris and sludge and it worked really well. Collected that in the pan removed it and cleaned the pan and the strainer which was hell of a job to clean it completely.

After this i have used 3.5 liters of flush oil to dry crank and to start the engine in real. Once it does kick in then i will remove the oil pan back again remove the silicon only keeping the gasket intact to be used again and to use little bit of silicon only on circum curves only...

Let pray for this seized engine to bring it back to life
