AOA,
Lot many friends have installed back up sensor's on thier cars which require drilling of 4 holes in the bumper. Latest technology is the electromagnetic sensors which do not require drilling of holes in the bumper.
I have purchased these from PRC @ US$ 120/set. Friends can contact me if intrested.
The advantages over sonar type are as follows;

lovely gadget, for people such as me, i hate alterations, but its too pricy.
its not true that Ultrasonic sensors havent cover the full bumper... with me it covers the full bumper and even it beeps me at the distance of 10 cm that the distance is less so take care.... on more thing instead of four piece there are two sensors on my car and its factory fitted from Toyota....
<b><big class="Stile20">"Conversely the ultrasonic parking sensors require maintenance whenever the parking sensors get dirty or is bumped or the performance is affected. They can also get knocked out of alignment by simply washing the car."</big></b>
The above mentioned quote is also wrong... it never happens.... my car is normally washed on service station and havent face such problem that got out of alignment, knocked out etc etc... not even with my colleagues and friend.....
i was looking for this kind of parking sensor hopefully it will be available here
What bugs me most about after market products is the damage done during installation. Such products always require holes to be made in bumpers or body parts. I don't like that. My brother got a rear view camera installed in his 2007 Civic which fits next to the number place light and required no holes. It fitted on using screws for the number plate light and gives a clear view of the rear when reversing. The camera can't be seen and original looks of the car are intact. I am not sure if this system is better than the rear view camera. Just my comments. Decision s yours people!
