I know about MLV but havent used it. The best person to ask about MLV would be @madhouse Once you have damped the vibrations, your next step is sound insulation. The Stinger-RKCP12 Carpet (Stinger Electronics | Product Details) is very similar to the StP VBT Mat (STP VBT | Car classic line | PRODUCTS | STP DISTRIBUTION) . They are really good, but yes they both do not stick, and yes these are technically the only one solution sound dampers. MLV is not very expensive compared to the Stinger and StP but would be less effective then the branded stuff. Sound insulation can be done using CCF. On a budget, you have jumbolon but is not as effective nor self adhesive.
Yes ofcourse you are not alone. the 9 sheets I mentioned was regarding the Dynamat Extreme Pack. Those 9 sheets has you covered for the doors and boot. CCF would be almost 3 to 4 sheets max required for you application as you would only be doing the 2 doors and the trunk lid and trunk sidewall. The Dynaliner and StP is almost the same stuff. Both are CCF construction. The only difference is the thicknesses available, Dynamat is available in max 12mm thickness where as StP is available in max 8mm thickness. Any brand of CCF is advisable as long as it is CCF. I would always recommend StP
In my knowledge only Jumbolon and StP is the available CCF in Pakistan. You have other CC materials available as well but mostly in EPDM or rubber not foam.
You need to treat your wheel arches and floor with vibration damper first before you apply any CCF. Also your doors would be sealed off, so the only place for CCF would be between the plastic trim and the door frame. You can only get in a 4mm CCF in there (StP SPL04). The boot can also be covered with the same but first area to be treated would be wheel arches and floor. Also check the rubber gasket on the doors.
