hi guys,
almost completed my 90% car audio system. plenty of items installed and plenty left to install as well. I had initially planned to put up 4 DD 3512G but later decided to install 2 12" Kicker L7...
just a few days ago i decided to go for something different as i have had Kickers in the past. so far here is what is in the system.

Pioneer DVD- 270BT
Focal ISS 165 (front)
Alpine Type S 5.25" (Rear)
Alpine Mrp-F250 (4 channel)
Soundstream 1.2000D
Orion HCCA tuned to 32HZ
car installed with Sound deadening.

in the future, i need to change the alternator and the battery..

I guess this is one way to ensure your ears never work again. And also if you want to take down a building nearby with the amount of flexing this sub achieves.

yes this subwoofer is really big!! but dont know how it sounds just yet.... would be installing it tomorrow.

In which car would you fit? Enclosure properly made according to specs?

I believe it will not sound good because the car body will rattle continously.

Will be a complete pain for the poor car. all the fittings and welds on the car will get on their knees.

If the car has proper sound insulation/dampeners, I don't see why it will cause any rattles. He's clearly mentioned the car has had the insulation done.

My only concern is that the battery/amp combo might need upgrading and a Big3 to achieve the maximum current flow.

And also shed some light on sound dampening for this monster. Normal sound dampening was enough or you had to do special setup for it?

i do not have all the pics, but i used Road kill on all the door panels and the sides and trunk. basically took out all the plastic bits and then added this layer and then closed it all again. took me alot of time but it was worth it i guess. i just have 1 pic of the door, but this is what i did to the whole car

slightly out of topic but modern cars are getting more and more difficult day by day. i installed a very small setup in my other car, it was just an active subwoofer with front 6.5" component replacement... after installing it, the car continuously gives me an Air bag sign... took it to BMW for a check up and they want ?800 to fix it... basically i messed up the Canbus system and that triggered something...

so all those people with high end cars and want to do a DIY for car audio, please be careful...
