Engine and Gear Assembly Swap

I am going to change my Toyota Vitz 990cc Engine and gear box to 1300 cc engine and respective gear box. Obviously the wiring and computer will also be changed. What I am looking to is to get better power and mileage. But confusion is what should be the type and details of engine that I should choose? I am planing to buy the engine and gearbox from sultan da khoo in Rawalpindi. I am calling out to the experts and gurus on the subject. Please help out. The demand from the mechanic is 350,000 Rupees with giving up my old engine and gear box. It will be a month warranty and test time.

It will be a huge mistake it's better to sell your current Vitz and get an original 1.3 vitz.

Swapped 1.3 is always a fuel guzzler and maximum fuel economy you will get is 9/10km /L in both local and long routes.
If the old engine is detoriated go for a decent swap and you will find it with decent power and good fuel economy

Unless your mechanic can ensure a full job like toyota does from factory, meaning each and every piece and job like wiring etc done perfecfly like factory, dont do it

1.3 & 1.5 Vitz are rare in Pakistan most of them are 1.0L

Always had the question in my mind about 1kr engine being so fragile & there must be something else to it & it turns out to be 20W50 to make it smooth & sluggy !!!

Using 20w50 in 1krfe is a guaranteed way to kill it very early.

Problem is that the 1krfe is noisy, and our awaam want sunn/sanaata engine like an iron block ohv engine. Which the 1krfe cannot be no matter if you offer it halva or rishwatt to be quiet.
