Ramadan Kareem Mubarak to Everyone.
I wanted to know what model and series of engine is used in Toyota Corolla 2006 2.0D. I was look in the engine bay, says 2C. Is this info correct. 2C was very old engine and the picture shown on net of 2C does not look like the one inside my car.
Further i want to know Value Lash Clarence of this engine, i am getting my shims tweeked so have to know what are factory defaults. According to my Read in 2C they are 0.25mm Intake, 0.3mm Outtake when engine is cold. Are they correct?

valve clearance factory specs are:

intake 0.20 - 0.30mm

exhaust 0.25 - 0.35 mm

set them at mid range ie intake 0.25 mm and exhaust 0.30 mm

and yes the engine is 2C and it is indeed very old

on toyota VIN plate you will only see 2C written in engine type ,,,,,,,, complete engine number you will only see on suzuki cars ,,,,,,,2C comes in couple of variants,,,,,,, turbo , non turbo , front wheel drive base and rear wheel drive base,,,,,,,pak assembled 2D engine can easily be distinguished from others,,,,,,,do share pic of engine bay if you have ........
