I live in KSA and use the Petromin Express services for oil change. Every time when i go for oil change, they ask me to clean the carbon of my engine. Here at their service center they have a small machine with 2 pipes which they connect with the engine and install a filter (which looks like water purification filter) on their cleaning machine and then start the machine. At the end that filter becomes black from white and they show that look this much carbon was in your engine.
They charge around 7 - 8K for this cleaning service. My question is that Is this cleaning make any difference in engine performance? Is it safe for engine? I have civic 07.
