Hi guys,
I've a civic 97, the problem is that its head gasket has burnt down again. Well the thing is that the aluminum facing where the gasket sits, its been damaged and cannot be repaired, we've changed the gasket 3-4 times in the last year. So according to the mechanic engine needs to be changed because of the damaged aluminum facing.
What do you guys think about that? My dad is saying to get it checked from honda's official workshop to verify the statement given by the mechanic.
If it is indeed true what engine do you suggest to swap the old one with?
Also there is this problem, on cng when i slow down the car RPM goes way to low and the engine turns off, the severity of this is that even if i slow down the car for speed breakers it turns off, some times it doesn't happens but this problem is presisting, what do you think is the issue? Bear in mind its automatic so does it means the chip settings needs to be changed?
Help needed cos it would be expensive, don't want to overspend and not get good results.
