Engine Heat up & the cause

when we use plain water direct fans and system without thermostat valve. we face abrupt engine heat up issues.

and sometimes when every thing is in order as in coolant, thermostat valve in system automatic fans.

this is what we shall inspect for

this vehicle used plain water for some time then owner shifted to coolant abrupt heat up issue started either temp was not at optimum or shot up randomly

lockdown help and a DIY traced the culprit. Rubber gaskit was cracked and a small spring ( from within the rubber i assume ) was causing issue .

A 10 mm BOLT is inserted to snap the picture

it looks like this seal has been changed with a different one..

Which car is it @capsat sir!

Also is there any prescribed time to changing the T-Stat Valve, Usually 100000kms is suggested but In our country i guess it is not suited. i tend to change the T-Stat Every 2years regardless of the mileage.

it is from a Toyota Corolla KE-70. since the stuck part (spring) was pulled out damaged i ask the member to insert some look alike and snap pictures. he got the hands on to a bolt

to refer how things can go bad and can be fixed if correct diagnostics are adopted.

Whereas our mechanic class simply strip down the head to replace head gaskit. beacuse henjin garami kha gaya.

Firstly they tend to remove the T-stat even out of brand new cars saying yeh kisi kam nahi, yeh vaal nikalo aur fan ki direct karalo gari aisi Thandi jaise baraf... Rest is history.
