Engine oil brand change after 30k running

hello all, i bought a 2016 mehran which runs on zic A+ full synthetic but i want to change brand and composition is it ok if i change at this point? some people say it would be bad for engine now if i changed the brand.and from full synthetic to semi synthetic or mineral oil. plz help and any good mechanic of mehran efi in lahore? thank you very much in advance.

Yes you can change the oil brand no problem. But remember the oil u r using zic A+ is semisynthetic its fine but the recommended oil is suzuki 10w-40 oil.
Don't use any mineral 20w-50 or fully synthetic 0-40 or 5-40 oil.

at brand change also change oil filter. AISIN 10w-40 from trusted shop is recommended or Shell Helix HX 5 10w-40 from Shell station only

There is no issue in shifting to fully synthetic to mineral or vice versa. Cars made in 90s and above don't have any problem with that or using oil flush in older engines. After reading about this on international forums, I have flushed my car's engine twice and shifted to 0W-30 fully synthetic with no issue in my 10 year old, 100k plus driven Liana which I bought pre owned at 100k Odo.

You are correct & I myself using 10w-40 in my 14 year old vitz running 210k km may shift to 5w-30 but there is no advantage in using full synthetic oil in mehran its just wasting money. The car need 10w-40.

10w-40 he was using zic A, the thing is api sg or or sm need for mehran at least what that is written on the manual.but i dnt find SG or SM anywhere but only suzuki is selling that.

Yes it is better but not suitable for mehran as you stated above mehran needs Api sg not Api sn.
5w-30 & 5w-40 are way better than these 10w-40 but not recommended. ️

Experts may know better but SN grade oil passes more stringent tests and exhibits better performance in most criteria of measuring performance of an oil compared to SM or SJ oil. Since both grades cost almost the same, we may reconsider choosing newer, better oil which will give better protection to the engines. Oil viscosity should be as per recommendation of Manual.

After reading many posts its a 50 50 some say sgo 10w40 is good and some say keep using zic A10w40 and seriously i am very confused

It means you didn't understand the point. Check grade of SGO and then ZIC to see which has better rating. After that, compare price and then decide.

SN grade is backwards compatible with older grades. If SN grade is available at almost the same price then it should be preferred.
Remember it is available at authorized dealer for 2300 RS at Plaza, Khi. Some shops sell it for 3k plus.

Long drain interval is not applicable for us due to our stop and go traffic, short trips and dusty environment. Manual of my car recommends to change oil and oil filter at 5k km interval irrespective of oil used.
