@mohsin-212 fix leakage and check pcv valve.
Do this and you're good to go. Switch to less harsh 5w50 toyota taglon instead of 20w50.

I don't know why you're pushing him towards a thinner oil. It is 3-4cst thinner then his current oil. If 20w50 is reducing then engine will reduce 10w40 more. 5

well mostly i look for manufacturers recommendations for maintenance and toyota recommends 15w-40 after 20w-50 for this engine....

5w-30 is used for extreme low temps...

if it says in the manual. that its normal thing if you pour thin or thick oil. then go for thinner oil.

Checked other end of hose from PCV valve and there is alot of oil present

Does it show PCV valve leakage?

Bhai keya pata koi diesel etc ya engine bay wash karwaya ho kabi. better to clean this area and keep an eye on it. lookss like pata nahi babey e azam k zamaney se saafi he nahi hui hui.

be careful with the rubber pipe connecting PCV, it must be hard n brittle by now and will crack on opening...
and its not commonly available as different from other engine variants.....even difficult to find with used parts dealers now....
its very unlikely that PCV would be bad...all it needs is carb cleaner spray to free up valve if stuck by sludge...

i suggest check pipe, if found hard get a replacement pipe and then open up PCV, clean everything and install back using original clamps...dont use the jubilee clamps...

the engine would stall if pipe is cracked or with vacuum leak

Sometimes its better not to clean engine bay of older car. It helps you in finding leakages.

Change the pipe/gromet and pcv valve with new one, your engine is fine. This is the only culprit for oil reduction in your car at this moment.

bhai yeh tou ap ko pata hoga k ap engine wash kesey wash karwate ho.... i would say clean that area and keep looking for any leak etc after cleaning.

Yeah u did the right thing but a prescription without explanation is seldom followed by recepient which is equally important...in addition to PCV thingy for which fault rate is very low only cleaning required to make it as good as new hence no need replacement

Actually I never got the engine bay washed as I think it might disturb wiring only spray air

Ii would against suggest to 20w-50 users to at least once try thinner oil with your 1zzfe / 2zzfe...

the drive will be smoother lighter and quicker , just like it has shed of atleast 20 kgs...

with 1zzfe , i use 10w-40 KIXX G1, and i like it more with every oil change...

only thing i need to check it oil change interval, i do it at 3000 kms and it takes 4.250 ltr of oil..

can i run it for another 1000 kms and do oil change at 4000?
