Engine Oil for Mehran after Engine Overhauling

I got my Mehran 2004 VX engine OVERHAULING in May 2014.
After running 1000 km on petrol, I need to change the engine oil.
In future, I shall run the car more on CNG than petrol.
I also want to use AC in the car.

Need expert opinion on what grade on engine oil will be best for my OVERHAULED engine?
Which brand of that grade is preferred?

Shell or Caltex 20w-50 with a genuine filter.

wont 20w-50 thick for a newly overhauled engine??

i would suggst you to go for 10-40

Do you have an owner's manual with your car? If you do, it is mentioned in the manual which oil to use. Get in the habit of reading and following manufacturers guidelines rather than asking here and there. If your Mehran's overhaul was done correctly, then you need the same oil your car used when it came out of the factory.

If you don't have an owners manual, go to the Pak Suzuki 3S workshop and ask them;). In the mean time get a photocopy of the manual

I got my Mehran's piston rings, valves and valve seals changed in mid 2012...since then using Zic A 10w40 semi synthetic....only first oil was shell HX5......changed it after 1000km...since then using Zic-A ...facing no problem.....

btw 20W50 would be really thick for newly overhauled engine....don't go for oil above 10W40....if engine is overhauled properly you shouldn't be needing thick oil...

hello.... i need to change engine oil for mehran 2013 model. its
driven 46000 km. previously i used Zic X7 10w-40. should i go for 10w-40
again or switch it to Zic Hiflo 20w-50 or Zic A+ 5w-20. im also
confused what is exactly the difference between 5w-20, 10w-40 and
20w-50. which will be the best oil according to car engine and current
pakistan weather...
