Engine oil for my Baleno

Pakfellows i need ur suggestion regarding engine oil for my Baleno.
Its on petrol...im using Shell 20W 50
I want to change frm Shell to petromin.
What advice will u give...b4 switching from Shell to Petromin.

U should switch to petromin bcz its a good oil and good value for money and it's way better than shell.

Petromin is good oil and you will not regret your decision. You can flush your engine (e.g. using Liqui Moly Engine Flush) before switching to petromin. It will give your new oil a chance to perform better.

If you want to go for Petromin its really very good.

I am also using Petromin in my baleno and I am very much satisfied. I've had poured petromin in my Baleno's engine for 7 times till now.

Brother seriously speaking, I am not aware of local market of Mansehra. May be some local pw member can guide you. But it is available in big cities like Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Karachi etc. My suggestion is to buy it from a trusted person. don't buy fake stuff stuff as it can harm your engine.

Caltex Havoline is best Engine Oil and perform best even in Summers.....

Do note that the poster asked about a 20W50 oil, as far as i know caltex havoline in 20W50 is an API SG grade oil so it can't even be compared to an API SL. Anything below API SH is obsolete now and should not be used in anything less than a VW beetle or morris minor.

As far as the best engine oils go, in Pakistan there is nothing better than Mobil1 super syn 5W50 and Zic XQ. both are top (synthetic) performers and no other oil comes anywhere near them.

As for mineral oils, only Fuchs Titan Super GT and Petromin Ultra7 (both 20W50) offer decent calue for money and are both available in API SL.

i was using caltex havolive formula for baleno 2001 1.6, now switched to caltex havoline motor oil..
can some one tell me change interval for this oil?
also if there is a better option for the next oil change?

Guyz my Baleno has used its oil for more than 5000kms and its time to change its oil.......I have always used Shell YELLOW DABBAH WALA oil till yet....
should i change to any other brand like caltex or petromin or any other good brand??
also tell me the diffrence b/w synthetic and semi synthetic oil......

P.S :My car has ran abt 125000kms and its on CNG
