Engine Oil for PKDM Suzuki Alto 660cc

Asaalm O Alikum everyone..i was just getting curious about engine oil for my alto. surprisingly Pak Suzuki is recommending 10w40 in manual whereas Suzuki Japan is recommending 0w20 in same engine?

Use 5w30 or 0w20 and you are good to go, you can find same topic discussed frequently by search option

I also email to Pak Suzuki, they are insisting for 10w-40. I personally think that 0w20 would be better. but it would void the warranty. what should i do?

PS knows its product very well. If 10w40 grade oil damage engine. It will lead to more warranty claims. Beside that. If you are concerned with warranty. Then you have follow company recomendation. On the other side. If you use other grade oil and engine got issue then all blame go towards non recomended oil use.
In SGO. You can use semi synthetic SGO deluxe 10w40 grade, blue bottle with change interval of 4500km. Never go for multigrade base oil in same 10w40 grade.
Always change oil from suzuki service center and made record properly.

Well I am getting the car maintained from showroom as it has the 4 year extended warranty so using 10w-40 as recommended by them haven't had any issues so far. Mine is one year old now

In last one year. I have driven 17000 km on 10w40 semi synthetic sgo deluxe oil from dealership. No issue till now.

Assalam o Alaikum

I have recently bought Alto Japanese Model 2013 reg. 2016.
It has done 125,000 km.

I want information about the Engine oil and gear oil as well.
Questions that come to my mind are as under........

Which grade oil should I use ?
Which is the best brand ?
Where to buy genuine oil in Karachi Gulshan area ?
same questions about the Gear oil as I have no idea when was it changed last time ?
If you can guide me it will be so nice of you.......
