@haseeb.Basharat: Assalamo alaikum Sirs... I had been using Honda 10W30 Mineral oil in my Civic Reborn. Then switched to 5W40 Shell Helix Ultra Fully synthetic at 83,000 km. I have driven 2500 km so far on this oil and well, the car sound and feel same.. Now I want to switch to Liqui Moly Leichtlauf 5W40 Fully synthetic on next oil change.....
Sir, will these frequent brand changes affect engine in bad way? And what are your views of LM 5W40? I read in one forum that you had bad experience with Shell oil.... Basically I want long drain intervals and excellent fuel consumption, low engine sound and extreme engine protection.....

Liqui moly 5w40 leichtlauf hightech is semisynthetic oil. Don’t go for it. Go for liqui moly 5w40 synthoil hightech, it’s pao and fully synthetic. Asked one friend to pour same oil in his reborn, and he’s loving every moment with his car.

Thank you sir.. Actually I was feeling a drag or struggling engine (slightly less power, more fuel consumption) when I put -40 weight in it by Shell... So is it because of Shell's oil? Honda's owner manual for civic say to put 5W20 in it, and 5W30 for hot environments.. So the viscosity at 100 degree celcius is same for LM tw40 synthoil and honda's -30 grade?

Viscosity at 90 degrees for Lm is 40 and for hoda oil will be 30. Honda oil is good, they’re getting it from total. It’s fully synthetic as well. I would suggest you to use that. It may help you in mantaining warranty.

Thanks Sir.. Actually Shell's 5W40 viscosity at 100 is almost 16 (I think mm2/sec), whereas Honda's 5W30's viscosity at 100 is 9.5-10... I think that is why I am experiencing more fuel consumption (a drop of 1.5 km/lit) and sluggish car.... Actually previously I searched for Total Quartz 9000 5W30, but their pump guys said "bhai jaan ye Pakistan ana band ho gya he 1.5 month pehle".. Then I went for Shell's 5w30 fully synthetic, F-6 pump guys said '' bhai jaan ye discontinue ho gya he''.... so at that time thought of trying 5W40.. Well, thank you ... What is the drain interval of Honda's 5W30 fully synthetic?

EDIT: enough with the search, going for Honda's 5W30 finally... But what is its drain interval? I read somewhere that it is good for 10,000 km.

Honda recommends 5000kms, but can be extended to 6 or 7k kms easily. Don’t go above that.
If you wanna keep 10k kms drain interval than use Mobil 1 0w40 with original oil filter.

I think then I will use it till 6000 km... Thank you sir... because it is still economical. Synthetic will cost 60 paisa per km, mineral already cost 75 paisa per km...

Mobil 1 you get here is not the one which is made in usa so its inferior. Better to go for LM which is made in germany atleast.

Purchase it from honda dealership. They sell total 5w30 as their honda 5w30 oil.

no engine damage dont worry.

u can use 5w-30 Total 9000 fully synthetic or Caltex Havoline 5w-40 fully synthetic in your civic without any issue.

Guys no need to pour in anything too expensive in the corolla.

stick to toyota orignal taglon 5w-50 and even after 300K KMs engine will work as desired without any issues.

(Stick to recommended change interval of 5K KM for changing the oil).

Mobil or LM are high end oils and can be used if u intend to increase the oil change interval to 7K or 10K Kms however it is not recommended to go beyond 5K Kms anyway as per toyota manual.
