I clearly said that this was oil at 5500kms from my car which was driven 32k kms at that point.
It was in warranty, and drain intervals were 5000kms at that time.
Not a theoretical data at all. I have a friend who owns a 2011 corolla 1.6 which is at 350k+ kms. He had been using mobil 1 5w50 from day one with oil change intervals of 10k kms. Still there is no engine overhaul needed in his car. Why? According to the data you provided above, engine would be long gone. Right?
It is giving optimal fuel economy and optimal power.
As far turbo is concerned they were using 0w20 oil in it. 0w20 in Pakistan?
If youâre into this from a decade, than you Should know that there is something known as sheering effect in oils. What do you say about 0w20 in summers of Pakistan with added effect of pollution and bad fuel quality. At drain intervals oil must be of black color.
I provided my opinion here on the basis of my data, and Alhamdullilah my car feels great even when its close to drain intervals. In case of toyota oils engine used to feel heavy at 3500-4000kms which is not the case for mobil 1 at even 9000kms.
A good oil also provides superior sludge and impurity control.
If honda can stretch oil filter (guard) change to 10k than toyota oil filter canât last that much? Oil filters are meant to control sludge and other impurities, but what if oil itself is a cause of sludge??
I respect your opinion here, but I seriously know what iâm doing. iâll keep on doing it coz I tested this engine thoroughly in last 65k kms.
For turbo civic they reduced oil change intervals because of extensive issues in its engine. We all know the superior quality Honda Atlas provided at that time. They ruined a masterpiece car for this market.
Please donât compare industrial engines with automotives. Thatâs like comparing engine of ship with a car. Both have different jobs to do under different circumstances.
Lastly, itâs not pcsir, it was conducted with help of some good friends in UET Peshawar.
