Engine oil for xli

i got xli 38000kms driven......car is cng
currently i am using zic 0w30.........i want to ask which one is much better zic 0w30 0r caltex havoline 5w30 fully synthetic
or any other which is best suited for xli on cng?

Do u feel some problem with your current oil?

Shell in yellow packing is also reasonable and good, im using it from last 3 years with no prob.

best would Toyota Motor Oil the one in Black Tin Pack ... i am using in 3 of my toyotas

i am using fully synthetic engine oil would there be any problem in shifting to semi synthetic or mineral?
the reason for shifting is because the engine get a lot hotter as car is cng so i dont want to take any risk

what about shell helix plus 10w40 i have good experience with helix plus my previous xli was 150000kms driven with same engine oil and was in excellent condition

engine sound is too much and i feel such low viscosity with cng will ruin the engine

There are many worthy people here at pakwheels with much more experience than me, but i tell u with my own experience that CASTROL Magnetic is best if u want to reduce engine noise, and want smooth and better idling. I used Zic A for 30+ km in my car and despite timely oil changes and proper care my engine got noisier. in short with some trial and error i had a great experience of the above

im using micking fully synthetic 10w40,working pretty well for me,also using it in a friends 2zzge corolla n his experience is the same

Castrol Magnetic 10W-40 is semi synthetic oil. however u can use even synthics with the same viscosity. However, i think, u should give a try to above mentioned oil.

Both are Fully Synthetic engine oil.

SAE GRADE:- 0W-30 is better then 5W-30 because gives more starting protection.
API GRADE:- ZIC OW (API SN) Caltex Havoline (API SM) API SN is better
ILSAC GRADE:- ZIC OW (ILSAC GF-5) Caltex Havoline is not ILSAC certified.

More engine protection required when engine is clod and at starting time even in summer because 87°C is normal operating temperature of an engine.
therefor 0W gives more protection against 5W.
Yes 0W is thin, only at low temperature. at high temperature both are equal because both engine oil viscosity grade are 30.
ZIC OW is ILSAC GF-5 certified, GF means any type of gas fuel like CNG, LPG or Gasoline.

Try MICKING 10w-40 Fully Synthetic. MAybe you'll enjoy the performance. I use 5w-30 MICKING its comfortable for me.
