Engine Oil guage issue of Pak Suzuki Wagon R

I am using SGO 10w40 Engine Oil (3 litres) oil for my PKDM Suzuki Wagon R...when i changed the oil at Suzuki Workshop....the next morning i checked the guage which showed little higher than upper limit of the guage stick......whereas in the Manual it is written that Wagon R capacity of Engine Oil is 3.1 litres.....then i want to know why it showing little higher from the upper limit......its the 2nd time continues showing higher guage after changing the engine oil.......i want to know that why.........as it says by suzuki mechanic that its ok.....???

You are checking it wrong my brother

In the morning when its cold and you will check it will be on the higher side. The proper way to check it when the engine is warmed up.
You should check 15 mins after you turn off your car (warm) at a level place not at an incline.

What you can do is in the morning start your car warm it up go to your office by that time the oil will have circulated, when you reach your office shut off the car and come back after 15-20 minutes and then check the oil level .

Thanks brother, but i also checked it in the warm condition i.e. 15 minutes after its switched off..........however when i showed it to Pak Suzuki, they are saying that its usual for Wagon R.....dont worry............but i am not satisfied...

i think capacity is about 2.9 liters
i specifically ask mechanic to pour about 2.75.
start engine so that oil settles through the system i.e, oil filter etc.
then top-up to upper mark on dipstick.
