Engine oil Kixx 5w40 PAO Vs Kixx 5w50 G1

Which oil is better.
Engine oil Kixx 5w40 PAO Vs Kixx 5w50 G1.
Mention advantages and disadvantages of using both.

what is the price you are getting for both oils.

well i say go for 5w-50. its more protective under stress (if you have a heavy foot and drive at higher revs.) also if you go through lots of traffic (stop go) on daily basis.

however for normal driving and no traffic blocks 5w-40 would give you slightly better fuel economy.

Kixx Pao 5w40 is for 3500 and Kixx G1 5w50 is for 4000. Both 4 liter pack prices.
Currently i was using Kixx G 10w40, But its takes longer to warm up the engine. So 5W would flow better in my opinion. My car is Honda City 150K driven. What do you suggest.

I would suggest shell Helix 5W30... Do not go for 5w40 or 5w50, these both oils are for extreme conditions which are not needed here nor honda city 1.3 engine can handle this much stress.

As far as i have heard, We should shift to thicker oil as the car mileage increases. Also, as i have got the car now. I have no idea about the cars mantienence history.

we live in 50 degree celcius environment with mostly traffic jams, what more extreme do u expect?

both oils are fine and are good.

since these are high end synthetics so expected to reduce over time quicker, do keep a check on oil level and keep it topped up. as i said depending upon your traffic conditions and driving style you can opt for any of the two.

if it was me i would go for 5w-50. more protection the better.

also if an oil takes longer to let engine reach the optimum operating temperature (in the morning-usually happens when you have recently changed oil), it means that the oil is good and lubricating your engine inners well and working properly that is why engine is warming up with a delay which is actually a good sign of an oil.

Alright. Got your point. Correct me if im wrong but arent thin oils tend to flow quicker and warm engine quickly. Like on a 5w40 engine will reach operating temperature quicker than a 10w40?

no they wont, oils/lubricants are always meant to reduce friction and make moving parts work easily which implies if an oil is causing longer time to reach operating temperature is actually better engine oil.

synthetics do tend to flow better and their better fluidity allow them to be more protective during cold startup phase meaning they are lubricating right from the start unlike mineral oils.
