Engine oil leakgae issue

Greetings All Members. I do have Corolla Altis 2010 Model and am the 3rd Owner of the car. I wish to gain knowledge that the car after an engine oil change the car leaks some engine oil and that is a big issue infront of me.

Someone has advised me 2 options, 1 is Engine Over Haul and 2 is Head Assembly Change.

Please do advise me a correct solution for it?

From where does the engine oil leak? From seals?

Engine replacement for oil leak? thats new news. Get compression test done, if its within spec, trace the leak/s. Get seals replaced with new OEM toyota parts and you will be good.

Its not actually a leak. As per the mechanic the engine is shortening the oil. Thats the issue. Once I get the engine oil change and the next time I went for an oil change, the oil came out was short.

Oil reducing and leaking are two different things.If reducing isn't much I,d advise just keep using it.How much reduction is there.And which oil grade r u using?

What oil did you use and how low was it. a little low is fine like 75% of the quantity is left. What was the oil drain interval.
Use 5w30 grade oil (make sure you are not getting fake oil- buy reputed brand from a reputed shop) and change it at 3000km interval.

Its reducing engine oil whenever I go for an engine oil change.

if i dont get the issue solved and kept using it whether it wouldn't be an issue afterwards?

If reduction isn't severe then no issue whatsoever.Keep it topped up as rebuilding 1zz is a big task.Is ur car prefacelift altis.right?

Next time drain all oil from filter and engine in old oil can and measure it properly. This oil should be above 3L in my opinion for this engine.
Check oil gauge every morning. If oil level is in between two points which are max and minimum then it's not much of an oil burning.
Remember, oil change guys cannot tell you oil quantity just by looking at it unless and until they measure it.
