Engine Oil, Oil/ Air Filter for AQUA 2013

I have brought new a 2013 model Aqua ... worried about its engine oil ... i have gone through multiple web sites and the recommended oil is 0W 20... can any one guide, Is this grade available in ZIC OR is ZIC is recommended or suggestion for any other brand. Will be appreciated if any one can suggest the brand for oil and air filter too.

I have used the following on my 2013 honda vezel for which the recommended engine oil as per book is 0w20 SN, similar to what you have,

1) 5w30 Honda (Total) fully synthetic 10,000km (2 oil changes)
2) 5w40 Liqimoly fully synthetic 10,000km (2 oil changes)
3) Currently using 0w20 Honda (Total) fully synthetic (1 Oil change, 5000 km). They made this oil for the local civic turbo which has same engine as vezel but with a turbo installed.

Out of all 3 result of 0W20 are much better in terms of cold starts, light driving feel with a slight bit of more fuel economy on my vezel. 0w20 is very difficult to find in the market as people don't understand oils and 95% mechanics would say 0w20 is too thin for our environment bla bla bla...!!! Basically demand for it is very low in the market due to lack of understanding.

The advantage i had was that local honda dealer ship started making this oil so its easily available for honda hybrid brands. Since Aqua is a toyota brand you would need to search for it in liqimoly or mobil-1. Even i could not find in ISB / RWP as most people are using 5W30 in hybrids.

The grade available in Zic is 5W20 and most prius owners are using Zic 0w30. I have not used Zic in these oil specs so cant say but Zic oil is good as i am using 10W40 in my 660cc Alto with 4000km oil change interval. Thanks.

Congrats for the new ride.
I have also bought Aqua 2013 and wanted to use 0W 20 oil but could not found it. So i used 05W 20 of ZIC and traveled 2000 KM so far.
I have heard that 0W20 is available in liquimoly and mobil-1 in Islamabad but was not availaible in Peshawar. Will search for 0W20 when next oil change will be du.

thanks and congrats to u too .... i think 5W 20 is fine.. as the first digit is for temp and 5 degree is fine for Peshawar and Islamabad ... imp is viscosity and that is 20 in your case as well ...

What have u done for stereo system .. u got any solution for navigation /and or language change?

My car was without Navigation system. it was removed before auction in japan. The door speakers were there.
I installed a chinese android Navigation system for Rs.22,000/-.

Mobil 1 is fine & Meguin i heard is an emerging brand.

i advise nothing below 5W30

but dont have too much knowledge about Oils

I am using liqui moly 5w-40. fully synthetic for the weather of karachi and looking at the millage of my toyota Aqua. my car mileage is around 90k. Oil worth is 5,200/- oil change interval almost 10k KM. this is the best oil i have ever seen . Best Quality, and Awesome experience.

depends on engine condition.....start with ow 20 if the milleage is less than 50k, then move to 5w 30 forever unless untill your engine starts to reduce oil.

i have personaly experienced a lot of JDM cars and oil changes, believe me it counts a lot,

putting thick oil will change your drive, milleage , feul readings sometimes....

if you are too much worried then start with 5 30 and follow above...

I have aqua 2015, and yesterday I got 0W20 from total parco service station made in Singapore. First oil change. It is now easily available throughout Pakistan and is branded and geniune. Suggested mileage 10000 miles for next oil change

Dear Friends,

Please donot experiment with your Hybrid vehicles. All such cars require 0w-20 oil irrespective of the climate.
Reason is that these start-stop engines donot operate on the same temperatures as the regular engines.

Due to repeated startups the engine needs very fluid oil (thin/ low viscosity 0w-20).

More over due to hot and dusty climate, pls donot exceed the oil drain interval of 5000kms.

Rest its your choice.
