Engine Oil recommendation

Recommended car (Aqua) SAE is 0w-16, now if I have used a higher grade (5w-30) for 1-2 years, going back to the recommended grade or 0w-20 will cause any problem? Should I keep using 5w-30 or change to 0w-20 or 0w-30?

2nd question is I'm using 20w-50 in Hijet turbo 660cc engine, people on the PakWheels page told me that 660cc isn't built for this type of oil and I should go back to 5w-30, etc

my question is, recommended oil grade is of japan, so can we use that recommendation in Karachi as well? or the climate changes that according to the area?

Yes you can switch

Yes 5w30 should be preferred
No 10w40 or 20w50

Manfacturers now use only one grade globally for same car with same engine

main catch is, should I change my oil grades to 0w-20 or 0w-30 for Aqua (20k km total mileage) from 5w-30
and 5w-30 for Hijet Turbo (120k km total mileage) from 20w-30, for the sake of following recommended grades, and is it going to harm my engine if I do this change after using the mentioned grades since 2 years

Yes incase of aqua
You can switch to 0w20 with peace of mind

Incase of high jet
I will recommend you to try 10w30 first
Observe engine oil consumption or leaks
Later on switch to 5w30 and do same
If it does 4-5k will low consumption and no leakage issues etc, continue it

Ok great, actually what's bothering me is that, all the mechanics (even the toyota dealership), keeps telling me once your engine gets used to a certain grade changing it damages the engine. (they are like, engine ko adat hogai hay jb to osko change krnay say kharab hojai ga ab grade opr ja skta hay nechay ni)

He's saying 0w-40 useless in Khi and lahore where temperature never goes to zero degree, that raises a question that if I use 0w-20, the 0 is useless but the 20 is also useless as the temperature stays around 20-40 year round

This logic is obsolete. I also use 5w20 in my car in bahawalpur. It goes to 45°C easily in summers. And also as low as 10°C. According to dis, i should have some problem, but i dont and car runs fine.

This video is misleading and wrong. Follow manufacturer’s recommendations and don’t listen to local “ustaads” none of them have an ounce of logic in their thick skulls.

after suggestions I have changed hijet turbo from 20w to 10w-30 .. now when I'm accelerating there is a sound like "chan chan" what to do..

Maybe chain tensioner....
