Engine oil recommendation

Hi this is my first post in pw forums so guys i have cultus 2005 model i just bought it 4months ago it clocked about 290000(2lakh 90)thousand km driven currently my mechanic zabardasti poured havoline 20w50 engine is in good condition no smoke ac also chill so kindly tell me is i am using ri8 oil ? Or which oil is recommended for cultus 2005? Coz i dont know k engine overhaul hwa hai k nhi

10w40 may have sufficed. 20W50 is too much in my opinion. Previous grade used also matters. If engine has been cared for, it will perform for long. If previously using 20w50 for some time then don’t change grade.

Bro i really dont know about previous owner beco after some days i got some clash with previous owner and he didn't tell me about grade so what to do if he is using 20w50 and i just turned to 10w40 whts the disadvantage will engine starts smoking?

If engine doesn’t give smoke on 10w40, then keep on using it else you will have to shift back to local mechanic recommended thick oil. I think, hopefully 10w40 will be ok.

20w50 is way too thick. Multigrade oils don’t require us to change viscosity back and forth. 10w40 is the recommended grade by the manufacturer, I guess.

So sir can i use 10w40 from suzuki company maybe its name sgo mayber so can i use it or suggest me a brand

Previously Pak Suzuki was recommending 20w50 oils for most of its models, only recently they have moved to 10w40. Use 20w50 without much thought. Just imagine Toyota dealerships are using Petron 20w50 in brand new cars, yours is a 300k driven car. If you are still in doubt use Suzuki 10w40 and note results.

Sir if i use 10w40 for sometime just for checking will it hurt my engine i mean some mechanic told me agr 10w40use kro ge to shyd smoke ajae ye bat ne mujhe bht pareshan kiya hai so sir plz guide me in that case mtlb switch krney se zyada se zyada kiya ho ga?

If your car has no acceleration issues, not reducing oil, not giving grey/blue smoke, then it is likely that piston rings/ valve seals are ok and 10w40 maybe fine. To be on safe side as car mileage is high don't think twice and stick to any good 20w50 oil.

Ok sir i will stick on 20w50 dfa maro phir 10w40 ko and sir one more thing pickup is not good on cng milage is very poor it just give me120km per cylinder having 11.5liter of gas kunke ab kehthy hain gas liters main ati hy and sir one more thing i have alto too it also gives me 9kmpl is it factory stock milage or i am getting worse?

Havoline Motor Oil Extra SAE 10W-40
ZIC 10W-40 (if found genuine)
Suzuki’s SGO Ultimate 10W40
Shell 10W40 HX7 or for lower change interval HX6

I still think you should try 10W40 and then shift to 20W50. Using recommended grade. Your personal satisfaction is important.

Imc uses 5w-50z. There is a lot of difference in 5w-50 and 20w-50z 5w-50 is always in synthetic range and is used a lot in world

IMC uses Petron (20w50) Petron+ (10w30) and Taglon (5w50)..
Petron 20w50 SL/CF is used in most cars at dealerships..

Switched to taglon 5w-50 after 3 years from 5w-30. Mileage is better as i drove 100 kms since oil change. Drive is perfect as well
